What is LiquaDry’s drying process?
It is a proprietary ambient temperature drying process.

How long does it take to dry?

The product is mostly dry in a few seconds and process is complete in four minutes.

How hot does the product get?
The product typically reaches a maximum temperature of only 41ºC/106°F.

How does LiquaDry validate the quality of its products?
LiquaDry tests for unstable heat sensitive marker nutrients, such as chlorophyll and enzymes.

What is BioActive Dehydration?
BioActive Dehydration is a drying process that preserves the fresh qualities of natural botanicals through ambient temperature spray drying and OxyGuard™ protection.

What is OxyGuard™?
OxyGuard™ is a Carbon Dioxide gas shield that protects our products from oxidization, during the most delicate stages of drying.

How does BioActive Dehydration compare to Freeze Drying and Window Refractant Drying (W.R.D)?
BioActive Dehydration causes significantly less heat degradation than typical freeze drying or window refractance drying.

What makes LiquaDry’s process better?
LiquaDry’s finished products are raw and posses the fresh qualities of natural botanicals because of low drying temperature and protection against oxidization.
 

PRODUCTION
What is LiquaDry’s drying capacity?
Between 3000-7000 gallons a day, depending on product characteristics.

What items does LiquaDry process?
Many different botanicals, juices and extracts, such as: grasses (wheat, barley, kamut, oat, and alfalfa), fruits and vegetables, aloe vera, algae, various minerals supplements and herbs.

Where does LiquaDry get its raw materials?
LiquaDry grows its own grasses.
Produce typically comes from California, Oregon and Washington. Blue Green Algae comes from Klamath Lake, Oregon. Minerals come from Utah.

Does LiquaDry process fresh or frozen Algae?
Both fresh and frozen.

How does LiquaDry manage microcystin?
By removing microcystin with a very fine filter.

How does LiquaDry juice its grasses?
With an 18” Rietz Screw Press.

How does LiquaDry juice its fruits and vegetables?
With an Accordion Press.

How mature is the grass when harvested?
Typically 8 to 10 inches tall, just before the jointing stage.

What is LiquaDry’s brix tolerance?
Between .5 to 30 brix.


 

SAMPLE RUNS
What is the amount needed for a sample run?
Five gallons to collect a powder sample, but it takes between 50 and 100 gallons to dial in the dryer settings and get a sample with particle size and powder texture that is representative of a production run.

What is LiquaDry’s turnaround time?
It varies from three weeks to three months, depending on the time of year. Summer and Winter are usually open. Spring and Fall are quite busy.

Is LiquaDry GMP Certified?
Yes, through NSF.

What is NSF GMP certification?
NSF has determined that LiquaDry’s processing methods meet or exceed the GMP’s set by the FDA.

What type of swab test does LiquaDry use?
ATP (Adenosine triphosphate)

What are LiquaDry’s documentation procedures?
All processing and cleaning is electronically stored (GMP compliant).

Is LiquaDry Organic Certified?
Yes, LiquaDry is USDA Organic, certified by Oregon Tilth.

Is LiquaDry EU certified?
Yes.

Is LiquaDry Kosher Certified?
Yes, with Heart K/Kehilla Kosher.
